Know where a story begins.
A link is a starting point. Its origin, date, context and limitations matter.
Prefer primary evidence
Use original records, first-hand statements and directly attributable material where available. Retain the public URL and publication date. Do not treat an unattributed screenshot, copied summary or generated text as primary evidence.
Check sequence and corrections
Look for later updates that qualify or supersede an earlier statement. Compare independent sources where possible and identify which claims remain unconfirmed. Never invent a missing record to complete a story.
Attribution and review
Readers should be able to distinguish reported facts, analysis and opinion. Source selection and publication remain editorial responsibilities. Automated source monitoring is not currently configured on this site.
